Sawyer has his first bottle of breastmilk. Sawyer wonders, "How did he do that??"
(Now this is the life!)
March 21st marked the first day of spring and it also marked the first time Grandma and Grandpa Wellhouse (all the way from South Dakota) met little Sawyer. They couldn't get enough of the little man and he seemed to take to them both right away. It was wonderful to have them both here and already we miss them very much!
Sawyer continues to grow and surprise us every day with new milestones. He loves being on his tummy and is getting very good at holding up that great big melon of his if only for a few moments. His legs are strong and he's learning to maneuver himself around with them when he's on his belly. He can scoot himself around fairly well. Of course, his face pays the price since he can't hold up his head and scoot at the same time! Oh well, you gotta tackle one thing at a time.
Now that Mom is feeling better we've begun taking walks in the jog stroller with Kacie and Elly. The dogs walk proudly along both sides of the stroller as if they know they have a much bigger job now. Sawyer tolerates all this pretty well and even seems to enjoy it as long as his sun visor is up. It's still a bit bright outside for his tiny eyes.
Other then that, all is well. Sawyer is beginning to establish somewhat of a routine sleeping and eating schedule. In addition, we've learned how to tackle the evening melt downs when they happen. It's nothing a little dancing around the kitchen to satellite radio can't cure! (We've got no time for commercials these days!)
FYI - There was a problem with posting comments to the site, but it has been fixed. You don't need a log-on now to post. Sorry about that!
