Attempting a family photo, but can't get the heavily "sugared" two year old to cooperate.

Sawyer had a great birthday, spent with family and a few of his closest "girl friends". He's growing up so fast. It seems the second year went by even faster then the first! As you can see in the pictures, he's very busy. Constantly running, jumping, rolling, diving into his new beanbag and wallowing....my personal favorite.

Sawyer will start a new school next week and will be in a much bigger classroom now that he's two. We're hoping he adjusts well. It's a really good school with a large focus on interactive learning. They cover a different theme each week complete with a specific color, number and vocabulary words. (Just like Sesame Street!) They incorporate the theme into all the different activities. Sawyer is very bright so I think he will learn a lot there. (I know he's my kid and I'm biased, but he learns new things very quickly so I think he bright.) And they start working with the kids on potty training. Yeah! He will still get a lot of time outside at the new school and will continue to spend Tuesdays and Thursdays on the farm with Grandma & Grandpa so it should be a good balance.

Speaking of Grandma and Grandpa Milbauer, Sawyer has really taken to them. Whenever he sees them he runs to them and throws his little arms around their neck. Big hugs! He LOVES going to the farm. He gets to ride the backhoe with Grandpa and read about airplanes. He helps Grandma feed ALL the animals, which has become his new favorite past time. He feeds KeKe (Kacie) for John and I all the time now. Sawyer definitely has a need to feed...wonder he gets that from!

At his 2 year check-up:

Height: 36 1/4 inches (90th percentile)

Weight 30.5 lbs (75th percentile)

He's tall and skinny! What a shock!
