Well, it's been two weeks since our last post so we're a little behind. Sawyer becomes more and more aware of his surroundings everyday (like the flying fish on his swing). He is definitely smiling at us now and tries to talk, but it comes out sounding more like little grunts than coos. He also has a rudimentary laugh/cough that is really cute. Sawyer had his first bath in the BIG tub (with Mommy, of course). Sawyer LOVES bathtime. He kicks and splashes up a storm and has a pretty nice backstroke too. Yep, he is quite the water baby although I suppose that is to be expected from a Pisces.

At his last check-up on April 13th he weighed in at a whopping 12 lbs 7 oz! I weighed him just yesterday and he was already up to 13 lbs 6 oz. This kid is putting on a pound a week! I swear I only feed him every 2-3 hours....and only breastmilk....

We've had lots of visitors and Sawyer has been very good with all of them. (Thanks so much to everyone who has come to see us - we've really enjoyed seeing all of you!) Fortunately, he's one of those babies that is good (so far) when company comes over. He's not bad in public either. John and I went to the art galleries downtown and then out for sushi with him last weekend and he was great. We'll see how long it lasts. : )

Little One Month Old

Sleep tight, little one month old!

Sawyer getting ready to go for a stroller ride.

So cute we had to go in for a close up...

It's an Easter Lion! (Tried to take this picture without the pacifier, but then the lion really started to roar!)

It's hard to believe an entire month has passed since Sawyer was born. Time really flies although I must say we've cherished every minute of it! Sawyer becomes more alert with each passing day and it's so much fun to watch him begin to notice the world around him. He has even begun to smile a very big smile in response to us (or at least we like to think so).

We started taking an infant massage class this week and he really enjoys it. Sawyer just lays back, relaxes and takes it all in. I enjoyed meeting the other new moms and newborns. They are all so different. Even at this young age, they each have their own little personalities.

Well, sorry for the short update. The baby calls...
